I decided to change my style of photography a bit in February and focus more on small and defined detail.

These small details created a different beautiful view of the things I was taking pictures of. I found that this told more of a story in contrast to the wider landscape photos that I was so used to doing. With a wider landscape sometimes there’s too much going on and it gives the story up straight away. However the small detail focuses our attention on one story and allows us to imagine what’s going on.

For example, when I was on my way to swimming I saw some moss growing out of a drainpipe. When I looked at it from far away it looked boring, however when I focused closer on the moss it created a whole different picture.
