I started my project around mid-October. This was a good time for me to get used to the camera because I had plenty of time to develop and learn for the later months. The first time I used the camera was at my Uncle’s music award. He won. It was a strange location to take photos at, with plastic flowers and lemons as a display. However, I think I managed to capture some of the strange atmosphere. I did this by focusing on weird things that people wouldn’t normally photograph, like plastic flowers. The plastic flowers looked like an oil painting; I felt that they represented the surreal atmosphere.
The second time I used the camera was at Farringdon station. I sneakily tried to take photos of strangers without them noticing.
Learning how to take photos of people without them noticing was a skill that helped me to complete this project and make it as good as I could. This helped me massively because I could capture how people in London really acted without anyone noticing.
